Grade 9 Mathematics

Course Overview

The Grade 9 Mathematics GCE Zambia curriculum covers a range of topics, including:

– Number and Algebra: whole numbers, exponents, integers, patterns, functions, algebraic expressions, equations, and graphs

– Geometry: 2D shapes, straight lines, transformations, area, perimeter, and 3D objects

– Measurement: perimeter, area, volume, and capacity

The curriculum is divided into two papers, with Paper 1 focusing on numbers, operations, relationships, patterns, functions, and algebra, and Paper 2 focusing on space and shape (geometry).¹
